The Awatere Parish

Rev Miriam Taylor.
I live at Ward with my husband, Malcolm, on our sheep and beef farm.
We have three adult sons and five granddaughters.
I have a passion for the people in this area, having lived here since 1968, and my greatest desire is to be used by God to enable people to come into, and grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ, and become vibrant members of the church family.
Having been a teacher I love to teach about the Christian faith in a church setting or in small groups. Part of my role in this widespread parish, where many live in isolated places, is to help provide opportunities for people to experience a sense of community and the support and friendship of each other. This happens in such groups as 'Women at the Well', Craft Groups, 'mainly music', weekly house groups, periodic courses, such as Alpha, Hot Tips for Parents and Hot Tips for Marriage etc.
